Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau will be remembered forever by the hockey world, and now the family has shown their strength with another touching statement.
Over the past few days, the hockey world has continued to mourn and show love to the brothers Gaudreau that passed away in a tragic accident, and it's become clear just how loved they and the family were. In his former city of Calgary, the Flames fans continue to honour him with incredibly touching memorials, with several members of the family showing thanks to not only Calgary and Columbus but the entire NHL family for their show of support.
Now, they have released an official statement on the situation, showing their strength by thanking people through what will be one of the toughest situations they'll ever have to face.
From the statement, this is certainly a passage that stands out, as the family are still showing thanks to the fans that have reached out and showed their love, even if everyone would have understood if they didn't post anything publicly in the wake of the tragedy.

Forever, Johnny and Matthew will be remembered, with Johnny Hockey likely to receive many more honours from his former NHL teams in the years to come, but for now we continue to send our condolences to the incredibly strong and tight knit family as they continue to grieve and attempt to move forward in their lives.
