The Anaheim Ducks have consistently been sellers at the trade deadline over the past few seasons. This year is seems that that trend will continue as the team is currently last place in the pacific division based on points. Now we know at least one Ducks player that is likely to be on the move in the near future.
Last season, Vatrano was just around half a point-per-game but this year he has exploded in scoring. He's been among the league leaders in goal scoring at ties this season and even though he's cooled off a bit, he's still among the top 20 in the NHL.
It is not clear exactly what Vatrano's value would be as a trade asset but the fact that he's on pace for 40 goals and still has another year on his contract after this one under 4 million dollars could help the Ducks get a haul in return for him. The 29-year-old is up to 137 career NHL goals in 511 games played.
