The Nashville Predators and Tampa Bay Lightning have made a trade.

The Predators will receive a seventh-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft and a second-round pick in 2025 for defenseman Ryan McDonagh and Edmonton's fourth-round pick in the 2024.
The 2024 4th Round Pick #Preds traded was the pick acquired in the Mattias Ekholm trade at the Trade Deadline last season with #LetsGoOilers
The #TBLightning have reacquired Ryan McDonagh (plus a fourth-round pick) from Nashville for a second- and seventh-round pick.
#Preds GM Barry Trotz: «This trade adds to our already deep corps of draft picks and allows us to continue to make tweaks and improvements.

We want to make decisions that help us build by giving us as many weapons as we can get, whether it's younger players, more impactful picks or cap flexibility.»
No salary retained in the trade.
McDonagh, who turns 35 next month, has two more years on his deal at a $6.75M AAV.
The Predators have a $6.55M cap hit from Matt Duchene's buyout next season, so something to keep in mind.
Well here's something: the Tampa Bay Lightning have re-acquired Ryan McDonagh from Nashville.
🚨TRADE ALERT🚨

How about this?

The Lightning have acquired Ryan McDonagh & Edmonton's 2024 fourth-round pick from the Nashville Predators in exchange for a 2024 seventh-round pick & a second-round pick in 2025. A huge piece from the #Bolts back-to-back Cups returns to Tampa.
McDonagh had to waive his NTC to go back to Tampa. There is no salary retention by the Preds. McDonagh has a $6.75M cap hit and 2 more years on his deal.
WELCOME HOME, RYAN MCDONAGH !!

After two seasons with the Nashville Predators, the two time Stanley Cup champion is rejoining his former team.

The #Bolts are acquiring McDonagh and the Edmonton Oilers' fourth round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft in exchange for two future picks a seventh round selection in 2024 and a second round selection in 2025.

I took this video ahead of the Stadium Series game between the #Bolts and the Predators in February of 2022.
Gabby he liked this comment a week ago 👀 he was giving us signs!!!
As it currently stands, the #GoBolts have $5.035M in cap space for the 2024-25 season. Gotta think TB has more up their sleeves heading towards July 1.
