Gabe Vilardi has dealt with plenty of injury issues in 2023-24, but now it appears he may be on the way back very soon.

The Winnipeg Jets have struggled to find momentum in recent times, with their latest OT loss to the Edmonton Oilers marking four straight losses, pushing them down to third place in the tight Central Division race.
One factor for the Jets struggles has been the inconsistency in their lines and the unwillingness of Head Coach Rick Bowness to make the necessary adjustments, but another major factor has been injury issues, with Gabe Vilardi being the unluckiest with injury this season.
Now however, it appears his return is nearing, with Bowness giving this update on Vilardi's situation;
#NHLJets coach Rick Bowness says Gabe Vilardi is feeling good and getting closer to a return. Says they'll have a better idea of «when» after tomorrow's practice.
Bowness revealed that they will have more clarity on the situation after tomorrow's practice, with the unlucky forward dealing with an enlarged spleen that's kept him out for weeks now.
When he's been on the ice, Vilardi has excelled for Winnipeg, with 30 points in 38 games played, and if they are to make a push for the Stanley Cup Finals, they'll need him at 100% by the time the playoffs arrive.
