Edmonton Oilers fans survived a scare on Monday morning when Connor McDavid took a tumble during practice.

According to Oilers insider Jason Gregor, the incident happened when newcomer Viktor Arvidsson accidentally tripped McDavid, causing the captain to go down hard. For a moment, McDavid stayed on one knee, clearly shaken up and favoring his hip-the spot where he hit the ice.
" I was just as at fault as he was, but yeah kind of funny how that worked out. I guess old habits, right? Sometimes you can't shake it (laughs)," McDavid on the collision/skate clip with Arvidsson yesterday. Best way for teammates to feel part of team is light-hearted chirp.

Arvidsson looked upset about what happened, even though it was just an innocent collision. Thankfully, it seems McDavid walked away without any serious issues.
he looked fine after. Skated off and sat on bench. Then when they left he walked off and looked fine. Which is why I said just a scare. It went really quiet for a short period.
However, it's worrying considering McDavid was already dealing with a lower-body injury during last season's playoffs, which Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch confirmed to The Hockey News.
With training camp just around the corner, Oilers fans are hoping this was just a minor blip and that McDavid will be fully ready to lead the charge for a Stanley Cup run this season.
