Connor. McDavid just dropped some newshe's probably sitting out tonight's game against the Arizona Coyotes or tomorrow against the Vancouver Canucks. He's dealing with a bit of a nagging injury, he tweaked against Calgary. Yet, the good news is he's confident he'll be back in full force come playoff time.

While he's been nursing some bumps and bruises, McDavid still hit the ice hard today, putting in over 30 minutes of solid skating during practice.
McDavid's on the cusp of making history as the first player in NHL history to dish out 100 assists in a single season. Only legends like Wayne Gretzky (11X), Mario Lemieux, and Bobby Orr making that elite club. There's some added competition from Nikita Kucherov of the Tampa Bay Lightning, hot on his heels with 98 assists.
McDavid added it was an aggravation of a previous issue but isn't concerned it will be a continuing problem
And let's not forget about Edmonton's playoff push. They're locked in a tight race for the Pacific Division title, trailing the Vancouver Canucks by just four points with five games left and two games in hand. Poll Tomorrow night's showdown with the Canucks is huge.
Sure, the Oilers showed they can hold their own without McDavid against the Golden Knights, but when it comes to the playoffs and the crunch time, they need their captain, the undisputed best player on the planet, leading the charge.
