Max Domi rips into Simon Nemec after rough play on Auston Matthews

Toronto Maple Leafs' Max Domi ripped into the New Jersey Devils' rookie Simon Nemec after the defenseman got rough with Auston Matthews.
In last night's clash between the Devils and the Leafs, Max Domi stepped in after a heated battle for the puck between Auston Matthews and Simon Nemec. Domi forced Nemec to drop the gloves and completely destroyed him.
This was Nemec's first fight in the NHL and it showed. Drafted 2nd overall by the Devils in 2022, he played only 58 games in his career. Domi, a veteran, had to send the rookie a message: you just can't do what you did to star players.

Maple Leafs' fans loved to see this from Domi. This shows why Sheldon Keefe decided to put him on Matthews' line. With Domi on the ice, players will think twice before attacking Matthews. Especially in the last games of the season, where he will try to reach the impressive 70-goal mark.
