The Edmonton Oilers' head coach provided an encouraging update on Connor McDavid's injury.

Yesterday, the captain wasn't at team practice:
No McDavid at practice today, second day off in a row for No. 97.
That is uncharacteristic. Let's see where this goes..
Later, McDavid was revealed to be day-to-day, with a lower body injury, and he would miss Wednesday's game against the Golden Knights:
Officially, McDavid has a lower body injury and is day to day. Questionable for tmw v. VGK. Injury happened with roughly 5:00 to , in Calgary Saturday.
Sounds like an injury, but not a major one. With playoffs around the corner, they'll be careful.
Head coach Kris Knoblauch shared an update. He stated that McDavid will be a game-time decision tonight.
"McDavid skated on his own earlier this morning. Knoblauch says game time decision."
McDavid, toe-to-toe with MAcKinnon and Kucherov in the Art-Ross Trophy race, probably doesn't want to miss a game.
However, the team won't take any risks with him this close to the playoffs. If he were to worsen his injury before the end of the season, the odds of seeing the Oilers reach the Stanley Cup Finals would definitely take a hit.
