After a stellar start to the season, the Philadelphia Flyers have shocked the NHL world with an announcement on young goaltender Carter Hart.
Carter Hart granted indefinite leave of absence
On Tuesday afternoon, the Philadelphia Flyers took to social media to announce the ongoing situation with goaltender Carter Hart.
"Carter Hart has requested and been granted an indefinite leave of absence citing personal reasons. The club will have no further comment at this time."
There were no further details revealed on the situation revolving around the 25-year old, with the Flyers revealing that they won't be talking about the situation with the media.
This year, Hart has put together an impressive 12-9-3 record, posting a .906 save percentage and a 2.80 GAA, and with playoffs in mind, the team will be hoping he can get back on the ice sometime soon as he heads towards RFA status this coming off-season.
