It looks like Matvei Michkov will receive some bad news soon.

Michkov Transferred?

Currently playing for SKA St. Petersburg in the KHL, the Flyers' first round pick at the last draft could be loaned to HC Sochi, where he spent part of last season.
It's been reported that he's not getting enough ice-time and it could lead to a transfer.

Nothing official yet. #KHL"

Finding His Rhythm

Despite being a promising talent, Michkov has played in only one of SKA's four games this season, with just 6:12 of ice time. His limited appearances mirror the previous season where he played only three games for SKA before being transferred to Sochi, where he found his rhythm.
He scored 9 goals and 20 points in 27 games, setting a new points-per-game record (0.67) for a Russian player eligible for the draft. The previous record was held by Vladimir Tarasenko.
Chosen 7th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, Michkov is projected to play significant minutes for Sochi. The team had a challenging 2022-23 season, finishing last in the KHL and beginning the current season with a 1-3-0 record.
