Mitch Marner has been in trade proposals all summer long, and now Predators forward Ryan O'Reilly has confirmed one major rumour.

Ever since losing in round one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Mitch Marner has seemingly been on the way out of Toronto, with rumours linking him to almost every team in the NHL. One team that was particularly present in trade rumours were the Nashville Predators, but after landing Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Marchessault and Brady Skjei, it's highly likely that they're officially out on the Marner sweepstakes.
Despite that, in a recent interview, former Marner teammate Ryan O'Reilly confirmed those shock rumours, revealing that he want to GM Barry Trotz and pushed the organization to make a deal with the Maple Leafs to land the star forward.
«Prior to the Predators spending a whack of dough on free agents (Steven) Stamkos, Jonathan Marchessault and Brady Skjei, ex-Leaf Ryan O'Reilly did his very best to convince GM Barry Trotz to make a push and trade for Mitch Marner,» Kypreos said."
They may have loved playing together in Toronto, but with the Predators spending a huge amount early in the off-season, it's now unlikely that we'll see them together again anytime soon, but with Marner hitting free agency in the summer of 2025, absolutely anything could happen.
