Coghlan shined last season for the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds, affiliate of the ST Louis Blues, with 16 goals and 41 points in 61 games.
Dylan Coghlan has 108 pts (44G, 664A) in 192 career AHL games.
He has cleared 40 pts two of his three 'full' AHL seasons.
In 23-24, Coghlan racked 41 pts (16G, 25A). That ranked 11th among AHL defenders. His 16 goals tied for the league lead on defence.
He played there despite being under contract with the Carolina Hurricanes, because they didn't have an AHL affiliate for the 2023-24 season. They renewed their agreement this offseason with the Chicago Wolves.
Dylan Coghlan is heading to Winnipeg. ➡️
This extension brings a solid depth option to the Jets' blue line, with Coghlan looking to make an impact next season. If he can't cut it with the big club, the Manitoba Moose have a reliable defenseman on their hands.
