The Winnipeg Jets have come up in relocation rumors recently and now an insider has revealed what the Jets must do to stay in Winnipeg long-term.
Insider Reveals How The Jets Will Solve Their Attendance Struggles
The Winnipeg Jets have had an amazing season thus far currently sitting one point behind the Dallas Stars for first in the Central Division with three games in hand. While they have experienced tons of success on the ice this year, they have struggled to fill up their arena leading to rumblings of a potential relocation.
In a recent article for The Winnipeg Sun, insider Ted Wyman revealed what the Jets must do to fill out their arena and stay in Winnipeg.
To do that, the city needs the Jets to become a better organization, to come up with more affordable pricing models, to do whatever they can to get people back in the seats and not just embarrass the potential ticket buyers in the national media.
This likely means cutting ticket costs in order to have more attend the games but it is unknown if Jets ownership would embrace that. Hopefully, for the city of Winnipeg, the Jets can find a model that remains profitable while also affordable to their fans.
