Winnipeg Jets head coach Rick Bowness has provided the latest on Nino Niederreiter who has been out with an injury lately.
Since going down with a leg injury about a week ago, Nino Neiderreiter has worked on recovering so he can return for that hopefully deep Winnipeg Jets playoff run.
Bowness says Niederreiter (leg laceration) will travel with the team to Nashville/Dallas/Denver but it's undetermined whether he will skate while on the road.
Nino Niederreiter will travel with the Jets this week but Rick Bowness isn't sure when he'll skate
Niederreiter is coming off an injury where he was sliced by a skate but it would have been much worse if Neiderreiter was not wearing protective equipment.
Nino Niederreiter had a gash on the back of his leg that could have been worse if not for the kevlar socks he wears, says Rick Bowness.
He needed stitches all the same and will be out for about a week.
As of now, Neiderreiter will come up on about over a week of recovery and is expected to be back in action for the playoffs for the Winnipeg Jets.
