According to TSN analyst, Martin Biron the Winnipeg Jets will have an easy time against the Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the playoffs due to one major player on the team.

The Winnipeg Jets are one of four Canadian teams to make it into the playoffs for the Stanley Cup. Additionally, they recently clinched second in the central division after beating the Colorado Avalanche 7-0 on Saturday in what was a tie for their second-largest margin of victory in a shutout. They are now set to face each other in the very first round of the playoffs.
"The @NHLJets erupted for seven goals and tied their second-largest margin of victory in a shutout performance.

Colorado has had more recent success in the playoff series, which won in 2022, against the Jets who have only made the playoffs six times since moving to Winnipeg in 2012, never making it to the championships. Yet, despite this less victorious history, TSN sports analyst believes that their game Saturday showed that the Jets will have the edge over the Avalanche due to one key player: goaltender Connor Hellebuyck.
"I'm giving the Jets the advantage. Colorado is the betting favorite right now when you look at that first round of playoffs, the odds are already out there. But for me, I look into crease number one let's look at the goaltending matchup. Connor Hellebuyck is the No. 1 goaltender in goals saved above expectation this year. He has been dominant, so that matchup is definitely on the Winnipeg side. So you're looking at the offense; it's pretty equal defensively, and in that regard, the Jets are much better. So I'm giving the Jets the advantage and the value there."
Though Colorado has been one of the most dominant teams all season, it is hard to deny how beneficial Connor Hellebuyck has been to Winnipeg. Not only has he helped the Jets sweep the Avs in their three games this season, but he reached his 37th career shutout in their last game. He also is one of the leader in NHL save percentage.
"Connor Hellebuyck now has 37 career shutouts, moving him past Antti Niemi into 55th on the all-time #NHL shutouts list. #GoJetsGo"
The playoffs are set to officially start Saturday, April 20th. With two power-playing teams like the Colorado Avalanche and the Winnipeg Jets, this first round will be one no one wants to miss.
