Wild rumors regarding Jeff Marek's abrupt exit begin to surface

Sportsnet said they did not want to share any details as to why Marek was fired, only saying it was due to a draft related incident. Many fans are starting to think that Marek may have possibly taken a job with a rival TV network, such as Bell Media's TSN. Elliotte Friedman did make one interesting remark following the NHL entry draft last month, when he said that Marek had to quickly catch a "red eye" flight. No mention of where he was going or why was made.

This information, or lack thereof, has led many fans to take to social media to express their opinion on what they believe has happened.

Until Rogers or Sportsnet comes out to tell the people what really happened, more and more rumors and speculation will continue to spread. Hopefully at some point someone at the network will give in and tell the fans what they really want to know, the truth.
