Now almost a week after taking down the Oilers for this year's Stanley Cup, Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk continued throwing shade at Edmonton during a parade speech.

The Florida Panthers had one of the most exciting paths to victory in NHL playoffs history. After taking down three tough teams in the Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins, and New York Rangers respectively, they narrowly avoided a reverse sweep and took down the Edmonton Oilers in Game 7.
"THE FLORIDA PANTHERS WIN THE STANLEY CUP FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FRANCHISE HISTORY‼️ 🏆"

As part of their success, the Florida Panthers had a chance to celebrate with all the people of their team's hometown. The Fort Lauderdale parade has quickly become a crowded success, with fans lining the whole block as Lord Stanley gets passed around and players like Sergei Bobrovsky get a chance to speak.
"Sergei Bobrovsky's speech from the Florida Panthers Stanley Cup parade. #NHL #FlaPanthers #TimeToHunt"

Though all of these moments and characteristics are newsworthy on their own, one moment from the parade stuck out above the rest. This occurred when 26-year-old Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk got a chance to speak. During this, he could not avoid using this time to throw shade at Edmonton for their tough loss.
"Hey, I heard it's 70 degrees and sunny in Edmonton, but they ain't got no cup!"

Though many NHL fans suggested a Florida Panthers win would make nearly no one happy, this parade and statement disproves those assertions very clearly. However, with the bold taunt from Matthew Tkachuk, the Edmonton Oilers could be looking to come back next year with a vengeance.
